Tournament and Archery Golf With Somerset!

This weekend, Morris Marksmen participated in Somerset County 4-H On Target Archery's tournament and archery golf event!

First Shots

This month we've kicked off our 2023-2024 season with first shots in both air rifle and archery! Welcome all new members and here's to a great season!

This past weekend, Morris Marksmen held Archery first shots where our many instructors worked one-on-one with each new member helping everyone have a fun and educational first archery day with our club!

Instructor Training

October started off with a “bang” for Morris Marksmen as we gained 7 new qualified instructors, 4 for air rifle and 3 for archery. Prior to this weekend, we only had 1 instructor for shotgun, 3 in air rifle, and 4 in archery.

A special mention to two of our new instructors, Sean and Mia, who are junior instructors.  Sean is now duel qualified in archery and air rifle. Mia is now qualified in archery.

New Member Orientation

On September 28th, we held a new member orientation with the new families joining our club!

In addition, our club officers were elected. The positions, being President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Reporter have been taken by Sean, Mia, Mya, Kurt, and Christian respectively.

Archery golf and Tournament with Somerset County 4-H

June 17th, Ted Blum Somerset County 4-H Center - Three members from Morris Marksmen attended an archery day hosted by the On Target Archery 4-H Club where archers competed in "Archery Golf" and a Tournament. Archers got to shoot arrows (with foam tips) into the air and try getting to the golf "hole" in as few shots as possible. After that, a more traditional archery tornament was hosted, and our members took home many ribbons from several different divisions!
